The World Traveler Internship sends two young people around the world for the summer for free.
Along the way, they’ll snap photos, shoot video, tweet, and blog, keeping everyone back home up-to-date on their latest adventures and experiences.
The program open to anyone in the U.S. under the age of 26 who wants the chance to travel the world on STA Travel’s dime, while boosting their resume creating amazing videos, magazine-worthy photos and Pulitzer-winning blogs.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Must Be Between 18 and 26-years-old
- Must Have a Valid U.S. Passport
- Must Be Able to Handle Rigors of Extended Travel Including Strenuous Activity and Carrying Heavy Luggage
- Must Be Able to Work Well in Stressful Situations and in New Environments with New People
Selection Process:
For the first year, STA Travel will be sending EIGHT World Traveler Internship finalists on an exciting trip to Europe. The two most engaging, creative and lucky individuals will be selected as this year’s Interns to complete the trip of a lifetime.
ROUND 1: Applicants can submit a one-minute video explaining why they should be selected beginning January 25 for their chance to be selected as one of the Top 50 applicants. Applications close on February 25.
ROUND 2: The Top 50 applicants are asked to submit additional information, including a resume and sample blog post, for further consideration. On March 16, the Top 20 applicants are announced.
ROUND 3: The Top 20 applicants are interviewed by STA Travel judges. The Top 8 applicants are announced on March 23.
ROUND 4: The Top 8 applicants make their way to Europe, with the two winning Interns revealed on May 13.
